Comet Farm Ltd was established in 1963 by Mr. Savvas Papaefstathiou, who is the owner and the current Managing Director of the company. Today it is the largest poultry organization in Cyprus, currently employing over 200 people. The company’s main products are broiler chickens, turkeys, ducks, table eggs, animal and poultry feeds and a range of processed products.  Besides the modern production facilities, Comet Farm Ltd also operates fully computerized internal control systems and livestock nutrition and feed formulation services, providing high quality and service to the customers.  Comet Farm Ltd has eleven farms for livestock, a feed mill factory, a poultry slaughterhouse, a further processing and sausage factory, and a hatchery unit. The company has its own warehouses and distribution system in Nicosia, Limassol and Paphos with a storage capacity of 3000 tons. All products are transported and distributed in refrigerated trucks, which enable Comet Farm Ltd to distribute 25 tons of poultry meat daily throughout the island ensuring its efficiency and competitiveness in the market place. Health and product hygiene is one of our main priorities and as Comet Farm Ltd we are the only poultry company in Cyprus which is hygienically approved by the Cyprus Government, the Greek Government, the British Army and the U.S.A. Ministry of Defense, thus enabling us to maintain the highest quality standards.   We pride ourselves on belonging and working for a company whose name is connected with quality products and excellent all-round service, which justifies our share of over 40% of the local market.  Comet Farm Ltd supplies over 85% of the hotel industry, 95% of the five star hotels, the British Army Bases, the United Nations Force in Cyprus, the Unifil in Lebanon, Cyprus Airways catering, General Hospitals, the Cyprus National Guard, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Southern Fried Chicken, Kenny Rogers Roasters, Subway, Blimpie, Dominos Pizza, T.G.I’s Fridays and most chains of supermarkets and restaurants.

Comet Hatcheries Ltd is the largest project of Comet Farm Ltd.  This unit is the biggest and most sophisticated project of its kind in Cyprus.  This enables the company to be completely self sufficient with a hatchability of over 6 million eggs per year.
